Why are we running for $25,000?

Last year we met our fundraising goal, and thanks to your generosity, Brook Park students are already enjoying brand-new library shelves and other upgrades that make the library more welcoming!

Our next two-year initiative is the Lunch & Recess Revamp!

• Lunch Revamp (Indoor)
  Replace or supplement traditional cafeteria tables with circular ones, creating a more welcoming, communal lunch experience. Circular tables help students connect with more classmates and open the door to ideas like mix-it-up lunches, lunch clubs, and buddy lunches.

• Recess Revamp (Outdoor)
  A Gaga pit gives students another recess option that keeps them highly engaged across grade levels, with plenty of movement in a small space and short games that let kids rotate in and out quickly. It also builds cooperation, sportsmanship, and self-regulation without requiring skill at a traditional sport.
