We are Brook Park

The mission of the Belonging, Community & Engagement (BC&E) Committee is to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the Brook Park community. We are committed to amplifying the voices of our community and working alongside school administration to ensure that every family feels valued and included.
 

What we've accomplished so far: 

• Celebrated various cultural heritage months through community gatherings
• Hosted movie nights and performances that highlight diverse stories
• Partnered with BP on daily announcements recognizing contributions from a wide range of backgrounds
• Organized a book drive to expand the diversity of the BP library’s collection
• Led discussion groups on books and media that encourage new perspectives
• Ensured BPC events are welcoming and accessible to all families
• Created monthly newsletters with resources and discussion points to explore different cultures

What we hope to do: 

• Provide learning opportunities for parents through guest speakers and events
• Engage the BP community in meaningful conversations about inclusion and representation
• Continue working toward a school environment where every student and family feels they belong

Volunteer Opportunities

Can you help? The Belonging, Community & Engagement (BC&E) Committee is looking for volunteers to help update the Cultural Connections Corner each month. This involves gathering materials related to cultural observances and ensuring they are displayed on the designated wall in the school.
